Welcome to Snap My Gym ("we", "us", "the service"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. Who can use the service

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms with you. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.

2. What the service provides

Snap My Gym offers tools for planning, logging, and reflecting on strength training and cardio workouts, including AI-generated program recommendations, recovery insights, and journaling. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

3. Health and safety disclaimer

Important: Snap My Gym is not a medical service. The recommendations, programs, and insights provided are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare or fitness professional.

Strength training carries risk of injury. You agree to consult a physician before starting any new exercise program, to train within your capabilities, and to stop and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, or other warning signs. You assume all risk associated with workouts you choose to perform.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the workouts, journal entries, photos, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the service to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share anything you upload.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled.
Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep paid features until then.
Apple App Store purchases are governed by Apple's standard subscription terms. Web purchases via Stripe are governed by these Terms.
Refunds are at our discretion outside of statutory rights (such as 14-day EU consumer cancellation).
Free trials convert to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled before the trial ends.

6. AI-generated content

Some features use third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate programs, insights, and summaries. AI output can be incorrect, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. Use judgement and consult qualified professionals before acting on it.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, scrape at scale, or attempt to disrupt the service.
Use the service to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
Upload illegal, infringing, or malicious content.
Resell or sublicense access to the service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice, depending on severity.

8. Third-party integrations

The service integrates with third-party platforms (e.g., Apple HealthKit, Oura, Google, Stripe). Your use of those integrations is also governed by the third party's own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these Terms, prolonged inactivity, or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any data or recommendation will be accurate or complete.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Snap My Gym and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability in any matter will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the smallest extent permitted by law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or your infringement of any third-party right.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Snap My Gym's operator is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Where required by mandatory consumer protection law, you retain the rights of your country of residence.
